Redhawks Honor Seniors on Saturday

Seattle U women's swimming recognized its senior class in its final regular-season meet of the 2018-19 season on Saturday.

SEATTLE – Seattle University women’s swimming fell, 178-76, to Simon Fraser Saturday afternoon. Emily Gough and Jenessa Schulte were recognized prior to the dual on senior day at the Redhawk Center.

“It’s been great having the seniors as captains," said Coach Craig Nisgor. "Both Jenessa and Emily competed really well today and we’re looking forward to having them lead us into the conference meet."

Allison Plamondon won gold in the 50 freestyle, finishing in 23.71 seconds to cruise to victory. The time is good for third on SU's all-time chart.

In the 100 freestyle, Plamondon placed second with a 52.31 showing.

In the 100 butterfly, Sherlyn Devadason and Bryn Lasher finished second and third, respectively.

SU will compete at the 2019 WAC Championships next. The event will be held from Feb. 27-Mar. 2 in Houston.
