CHICAGO – Declan McGlynn of Seattle University men’s soccer has been selected for the upcoming U-19 U.S. National Team training camp. The three-team camp will be held from Jan. 4-13 at the Premier Sports Campus in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.

The U-20 and U-17 U.S. National Teams will train at the event as well. The U-19 side will face the U-20s on Tuesday and then take on the U-17s on Sunday, Jan. 12.

McGlynn made an immediate impact in his freshman year at SU. He was named WAC Freshman of the Year, All-WAC Second Team, and WAC All-Freshman Team after tallying six goals and five assists in 18 games.

The native of Kirkland, Wash., has played previously with the U-19 program, including a training stint in Florida last September. He scored in the U.S.’s win over Jamaica. McGlynn also went to the 2018 Slovakia Cup with the national team last summer. He is one of three current college players on the U-19 roster.
