KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Isabelle Butterfield of Seattle University women’s soccer has been named 2018 United Soccer Coaches All-Pacific Region Third Team. The senior was a vital member of SU’s run to the 2018 Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Tournament title.
Butterfield, a midfielder from Bellevue, Wash., put together her best season in 2018. She scored a pair of goals and patrolled the midfield, helping the Redhawk defense hold WAC foes to just four goals across 10 games.
The team captain earned All-WAC Second Team, All-WAC Tournament Team, and CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team distinction this season.
In 2018, Seattle U won its fourth WAC Tournament crown and appeared in the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time since 2013. Butterfield finished her career with a total of six WAC Championships-three regular season and three tournament.
Butterfield is the 10th different Redhawk to earn all-region recognition. Brie Hooks, Stephanie Spiekerman and Karli White were chosen following the 2016 season.
