BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Seattle University senior setter Shae Harris has been named the 2018 Western Athletic Conference Setter of the Year as the league unveiled the 2018 All-WAC honors Wednesday night.

Harris, a Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, native, averaged 9.62 assists and 2.90 digs per set in conference play. She posted nine double-doubles in 16 WAC matches, including four in the final five outings. She collected a season-high 51 assists in a five-set match at CSU Bakersfield on Oct. 8. Harris then had a 42-assist, 21-dig double-double in the Redhawks' next match at California Baptist on Oct. 11, marking her highest dig total for the season.

In addition to the Setter of the Year honor, Harris was also named to the All-WAC Second Team for a second consecutive year. She capped the regular-season by being named WAC Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 12-18 after averaging a WAC-best 9.67 assists per set to go along with 1.00 kills on .400 hitting for the week.
