KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Seattle University men’s soccer has been named a United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award winner for the 2017-18 academic year. It marks the third time in the last five years that the Redhawks have been honored.

To qualify for the award, teams must compile a 3.0 cumulative grade point average for the school year. SU was one of three WAC programs to be recognized for its success in the 2017-18 year.

Coach Pete Fewing’s squad also earned Team Academic Awards in 2014 and 2015.

On the field, the Redhawks are one of five Division I programs to win at least 11 games in each of the last five seasons. They are 8-3-0 in 2018, putting them on track to win at least 11 games yet again.
