LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Five members of Seattle University softball have been named 2017-18 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Scholar-Athletes. Ally Choate, Tayler Dawes, Sara Dominguez, Susanne Morris, and Carley Nance all earned spots on the academic list.
To qualify, student-athletes must achieve at least a 3.5 grade point average for the academic year. Dominguez and Morris graduated in June, with Morris picking up her second straight Scholar-Athlete nod.
Nance earned marks in her second year at SU, while Choate and Dawes were freshmen.
The Redhawks had their most successful Division I season in program history in 2018, winning 33 games and coming within a game of winning the WAC regular-season title.
