SEATTLE - Seattle University’s Nathan Pixler was named the Western Athletic Conference Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week for Sept. 3-9, the conference announced on Tuesday. This is Pixler's first Athlete of the Week award.
Pixler, a redshirt sophomore transfer from the University of Colorado, led the Redhawks at the Sundodger Invitational with an 8k time of 25:42.70. The race was Pixler’s first cross country competition since his senior year in high school.
Pixler and the Redhawks make their next appearance on Friday, Sept. 21 at the Dellinger Invitational in Springfield, Ore.
