SEATTLE – Seattle University Athletics has expanded its longstanding partnership with the Washington Athletic Club, announcing a professional alumni program that will provide Seattle University’s graduating student-athletes and alumni with career development, mentorship and membership opportunities.
“This enhanced partnership with the WAC provides our student-athletes a unique opportunity for growth,” said Director of Athletics Shaney Fink. “Our student-athletes will gain access to a valuable professional network, expanded career development and, upon graduation, mentorship with leaders in the Seattle community who are like-minded in our university mission.”
The partnership will allow Seattle U student-athletes to experience professional and social development and networking opportunities alongside Washington Athletic Club members.
Upon graduation, Redhawk alumni will have the opportunity to apply for membership to the Washington Athletic Club. Once members, Redhawk alumni will be paired with veteran WAC members who will serve as professional mentors, furthering their advancement and maturation.
“We are excited to expand our partnership with Seattle U Athletics as we add a mentorship element to the relationship,” said WAC President & CEO Chuck Nelson. “The WAC is all about making people’s lives better, and this program creates a new opportunity to combine excellence, athletics and leadership for committed Redhawks upon graduation from Seattle U.”
