SEATTLE – (August 12) Seattle University women’s soccer has announced four additions to the 2018 roster. Dakota Cameron, Bailey Hall, Tori Morton, and Sebelle Rojas will join the Redhawks’ roster this fall.
Cameron is a midfielder from Avondale, Arizona. As a member of 98 Arizona Premier, she helped her team win the Presidents’ Cup state title in 2017. At Millennium High, Cameron earned first team all-state honors as a senior. In her high school career, she tallied 18 goals and 49 assists.
"Dakota has incredible footskills and a nonstop commitment to improving, which is the attitude we love on our team," said Coach Julie Woodward.
Hall is from Seatac, Washington. The midfielder played club for Pac Northwest and at Kennedy Catholic High. In her high school career, Hall was first team all-league twice and claimed league MVP as a senior. She led the conference in goals and assists in 2017.
"Bailey is a very smart soccer player and has the technical ability to compete right away," said Woodward.
Morton joins the Redhawks after two years at Highline College. The native of Victorville, California, logged first team all-league recognition in her final two seasons at Riverside Prep. At Highline, Morton was an NWAC All-Region choice in 2017.
"Tori brings athleticism and a team first attitude that will both add value to our program," said Woodward.
Rojas is a Hawthorne, California, product. The freshman forward graduated from Manhattan Beach High and played for FRAM on the club circuit.
"Sebelle has so many tools," said Woodward. "As we begin to discover her best role, she will be able to contribute immensely to our team success."
In 2017, Seattle U set a Western Athletic Conference (WAC) record with its fifth consecutive appearance in the WAC Championship game. SU returns the majority of its stellar defense, as Preseason All-WAC choices Rachel Bowler and Hannah Carrothers anchor the Redhawk backline.
SU opens the 2018 regular season on Friday at Washington State.
