DENVER – (May 7) Andie Larkins of Seattle University softball has been chosen Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Pitcher of the Week, for the period ending May 6. Larkins threw a complete game in a 2-1 win at Oregon State on May 1.

The native of Tucson, Arizona, pitched all seven innings on her way to a win at Oregon State Tuesday. She allowed just five hits and struck out five hitters against the 2017 NCAA Tournament qualifiers.

The honor is the second in four weeks for Larkins. She is one of three Redhawks to claim conference pitcher of the week accolades this year.

Larkins has a 10-7 record this season, including seven complete games. She has a 2.84 ERA in 29 appearances.

Seattle U finished the regular season with a Division I-program record 33 wins. It heads to New Mexico State for the 2018 WAC Championship this week. It will face Kansas City in the first round on Wednesday at 6 p.m. Pacific.
