DENVER – (March 23) The Western Athletic Conference announced the women’s tennis pre-conference coaches poll on Tuesday, with Grand Canyon being the favorite and Seattle U taking fifth.
The poll was voted on by the six head coaches in the league. After GCU, Kansas City was voted to finish second, and New Mexico State and UT Rio Grande Valley are tied for third. Rounding out the league are Seattle U at five, and Chicago State at six.
The Redhawks are carrying a 6-9 overall record into the first set of conference matches this weekend. They will play Kansas City on Saturday at 2 p.m., and UTRGV on Sunday at 11 a.m. Both matches will be played in Edinburg, Texas, home of the UTRGV Vaqueros.
