SEATTLE – (March 17) The Seattle University women’s tennis team snapped a three-game winning streak with a 7-0 loss against a difficult opponent in the Washington Huskies on Saturday afternoon at the Bill Quillian Tennis Stadium.
The Redhawks battled in doubles, but were unable to get the point. Hannah Gianan and Kyra Jung were only down 4-3 in the second flight before it was called.
In singles, Lily-Ana Kreutzer took her first set 6-2 at #6, but dropped the next two sets for the loss.
“Tough match today, but proud of the ladies this week,” head coach Adam Reeb said. “This team is playing well and we’re excited to start WAC play next weekend. We’re going to prepare as well as possible this week and look to bring it in Texas.”
