DENVER – (Feb. 6) The Western Athletic Conference named Seattle University’s Kelli Woodman as the Tennis Player of the week Tuesday, after staying perfect on the weekend with a 2-0 record.

Woodman, a redshirt senior from Denver, competed on the fourth flight in both matches over the weekend, and beat her Montana opponent 6-3, 6-2, and Montana State 6-2, 6-2.

Woodman is tied for first on the team with four wins this spring, and head coach Adam Reeb praised her hard work and dedication.

“Kelli played very well this weekend and was just solid,” Reeb said. “She has worked so hard to come back from injuries and play this year, and I couldn’t be happier for her. She has been, and continues to be a great leader for us.”

The Redhawks have this weekend off, but will be back in action Feb. 16 when they travel to Spokane to face Gonzaga at 10 a.m.
