DENVER – (Jan. 23) Seattle University women’s tennis players Hannah Gianan and Kali McCollister were named the Western Athletic Conference doubles team players of the week, the league announced Tuesday.

Gianan, a freshman from Camas, Wash., and McCollister, a sophomore from Portland, Ore. finished the opening week undefeated in doubles. They took down South Dakota 6-4, and Eastern Washington 7-5, both in the third flight, and head coach Adam Reeb was pleased with the results.

"Hannah and Kali played good doubles this past weekend and are definitely deserving of this award," said Reeb. "They played aggressively and showed a lot of toughness in pulling out some close matches against good competition."

The Redhawks will be back in action this weekend, as they play three road matches in California on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
