SEATTLE - (Oct. 18) The Seattle U Men's tennis team is heading to Stockton, Calif., to compete in the ITA Regionals beginning on Thursday. In preparation, Seattle University Athletics sat down with Sophomore Trenton Nield to get to know him ahead of the fall's biggest tennis event.
Where are you from?
I’m from Chico, CA
What attracted you initially to tennis?
My friend took me to this court by his house when I was in elementary school and the competition got the better of me and I never turned back.
Do you prefer singles or doubles?
I prefer singles, I love having all the responsibility on me and not having a partner to rely on.
What is your favorite part of playing tennis in Seattle?
Having a team behind you to support you no matter what is happening.
What is your favorite thing to do in Seattle?
Go bowling!
What is your favorite type of music?
Pop.
What is your favorite type of food?
Nothing tops a breakfast burrito.
What was your last meal?
Conveniently, a Breakfast burrito!
100 degrees or 40 degrees?
100 degrees, feels like back at home.
Best memory as a Redhawk?
Best memory has to be playing in my first college match and having all my friends and family watching
Favorite TV show?
How I met your Mother, I think I’ve watched all 9 seasons about 5 times through.

I can spin a basketball on all ten fingers.
