SEATTLE - (Oct. 16) Seattle University men’s soccer associate head coach Nate Daligcon was inducted into the Rochester Rhinos Hall of Fame this weekend. Daligcon played five seasons for the Rhinos.
The Rhinos, a member of the United Soccer League, inducted three members into the team’s hall of fame Saturday. After a standout career at Seattle Pacific, Daligcon was the 24th pick in the 1996 MLS Draft. He won the 1996 A-League title with the Seattle Sounders and then went to the Rhinos. From 1997-2001, Daligcon played in Rochester, helping his team win three A-League Championships. He was also a key player on the team’s 1999 U.S. Open Cup Championship side. In 106 games with Rochester, Daligcon recorded 16 goals as a center midfielder.
Daligcon, in his fifth season at SU, has played a key role in the Redhawks’ return to prominence at the Division I level. Head Coach Pete Fewing and his staff, including Daligcon, have taken Seattle U to a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances and two WAC Championships. the Redhawks are ranked nationally this season.
SU hosts Houston Baptist on Sunday, Oct. 22, on senior day at Championship Field.
