- Seattle U takes on NM State in a WAC game at Championship Field.
- The Redhawks tied UTRGV, 0-0, on Thursday night. Mackenzie Curry made two saves for her fourth shutout of the season.
- New Mexico State lost, 5-2, at Utah Valley on Thursday night. Devin Hart gave the Aggies a 1-0 lead in the 11th minute, but the Wolverines answered with four straight goals. Audriana Chavez added a goal in the 67th minute on a penalty kick.
- SU is dropped a 3-0 setback at Kansas City on Oct. 8. The decision snapped the Redhawks’ 24-game unbeaten streak in WAC regular season contests and their 15-game win streak in such outings.
- The Redhawks are 38-2-2 in their last 42 WAC regular season games.
- Last weekend, NM State tied CSU Bakersfield, 2-2, before beating Grand Canyon, 2-1 in double overtime. Devin Hart scored both goals in the win over the Lopes.
- SU won, 6-1, at Chicago State on Oct. 6. Madeline Racine notched a goal and three assists, while Kelsey Eagle scored twice in the WAC opener.
- Seattle U outshot the Cougars, 27-3, in the match.
- Madeline Racine’s three-assist showing against Chicago State is the first such performance by a Redhawk since Julia Moravec tallied three helpers on Oct. 25, 2015, at Grand Canyon.
- SU set new season highs in goals (6), shots (27), shots on goal (16), and corner kicks (9) in the win at Chicago State.
- Devin Hart paces the Aggies with eight goals and six assists, while Audriana Chavez has eight goals and four helpers in 2017. Hart leads the WAC in points per game (1.38).
- The Redhawks dropped a 2-1 double-overtime game at Gonzaga on Sept. 24. Jennifer Plummer scored and Mackenzie Curry made a career-high seven saves in net.
- SU settled for a 1-1 tie with Portland on Sept. 22. Jessie Ray scored her fourth goal in four games and Mackenzie Curry logged four saves.
- Jessie Ray and Mackenzie Curry were named WAC Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively, on Sept. 25. Ray leads the league with seven goals, while Curry posted 11 saves in two outings over the weekend.
- NM State was picked to take seventh in the WAC Preseason Poll.
- SU tops the WAC with 1.9 assists per game. It is ranked 40th nationally, as 15 different Redhawks have registered an assist this year. Nationally, only Stanford has more players with a helper in 2017.
- Seattle U won, 4-0, at Portland State on Sept. 17. Jessie Ray scored two goals and assisted on another, as the Redhawks claimed their third shutout of the season.
- SU dropped a 3-0 decision at Washington on Sept. 15. Both sides tried eight shots in the contest at Husky Soccer Field.
- SU fell, 4-1, to Santa Clara on Sept. 11. Jessie Ray scored her fourth goal of the season and the Redhawks outshot the Broncos, 14-12, at Championship Field.
- Leahi Manthei set a program Division I record with four goals in a 5-3 win at Idaho on Sept. 4. The freshman came off the bench to score a goal in the first half and then three in the second frame. She earned WAC Offensive Player of the Week recognition for the showing.
- The win at Idaho marked SU’s first comeback from a two-goal deficit to win in Division I history.
- Seattle U recorded a 2-0 showing at the Outrigger Classic at the University of Hawaii Aug. 26-28. SU beat Pacific, 3-0, and Hawaii, 2-0. Jessie Ray earned Tournament MVP and WAC Offensive Player of the Week honors, as the sophomore scored in both games.
- Coach Julie Woodward, in her 21st season at SU, has guided the Redhawks to three NCAA Tournament appearances in the last four years. She has 280 career victories.
- Freddy Delgado is in his fourth year as the Aggies’ head coach. After winning five games in each of the last two seasons, Delgado has guided NM State to seven wins this year.
- For a fifth straight year, SU was voted as favorites in the WAC Preseason Coaches’ Poll. Stephanie Spiekerman, the reigning WAC Defensive Player of the Year, was chosen WAC Preseason Defensive Player of the Year.
