  • Seattle U opened the 2017 season with a 1-0 win over Loyola Marymount on Friday. Noe Meza scored from Tyler John in the 29th minute to lift the Redhawks to their 17th straight win at Championship Field. The home winning streak is the longest active string in the nation.
  • New Mexico lost, 2-1, at No. 11 Washington on Friday. Down 2-0 late, Luke Lawrence found the back of the net in the 86th minute for the Lobos.
  • Pete Fewing is in his 24th overall season as SU’s head coach. He has won 275 games in his career.
  • Jeremy Fishbein has begun his 16th season at New Mexico. The Lobos have made 11 NCAA Tournament appearances in his tenure.
