  • SU fell behind early and could not come back at Cal State Fullerton Friday night. The Titans came away with a 2-0 decision in the season opener. Mackenzie Curry tallied a pair of saves.
  • Oregon State went 110 minutes with Kansas State and neither team scored in their opening match.
  • Seattle U is the defending WAC champion and was a unanimous favorite to win the WAC in this year's preseason coaches' poll.
  • OSU went 8-10-2 in 2016. Nikki Faris, now a senior, was named All-Pac 12 Honorable Mention after putting up six goals and six assists last season.
  • SU is 3-4-2 in home openers since moving to Division I in 2008.
  • For the Redhawks, Stephanie Spiekerman won the 2016 WAC Defensive Player of the Year Award and is the preseason choice for the same honor in 2017.
