COMPLETE COLLEGIATE BASEBALL RELEASE
TUSCON, Ariz. – (June 7) Seattle University's Austin Lively has been named to the 2017 Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American Team, the association announced Wednesday.
The rookie from Redmond, Wash., appeared in 54 of 56 games while starting 49. He primarily held down the fort at third base. At the plate, he was second on the team with a .335 average. Lively was also second on the team in hits (63), second in RBIs (31) and third in doubles (10).
Fielding a fairly young squad, the Redhawks went 20-35-1 overall in 2017. They went 1-2 in WAC Tournament play to clsoe out the year and will graduate just three seniors.
