SEATTLE – (May 4) Junior catcher Jack Reisinger has been named to the 11-member 2017 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-Distrcit Baseball Team (District 8), the association announced Thursday. Student-athletes must carry a minimum 3.3 culumative GPA, be in their second year of comeptition at their institution and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games at the position listed on the nomination form.

Reisinger has appeared in 27 games for the Redahwks this season, earning 23 starts. He carries the team's highest batting average at .374 with 34 hits, including four doubles and three home runs. The San Clemente, Calif., also has 17 RBIs and 14 runs scored.

In the classroom, Reisinger holds a 3.56 cumulative grade point average while pursuing a degree in finance.

Just six schools were represented on the District 8 team, including three student-athlete from Oregon State, two from Stanford, two from Gonzaga, two from Pepperdine, one from Seattle U and one from CSUN.

Seattle U returns to action on Friday, May 5, beginning a three-game Western Athletic Conference series at Grand Canyon.
