SEATTLE - (April 8) A day after falling 7-0 to New Mexico State, the Seattle U men's tennis team was unable to capture their first conference win of the season as they fell 4-3 to Chicago State Saturday afternoon in Seattle.

The match started outside but later had to be moved inside due to inclimate weather. Chicago State took two of three doubles games to earn the doubles match point, despite all three games coming down to the wire.

In singles play, Arshak Ghazaryan, Jeremiah Kalmus, and Adrian Sanabria all secured two-set wins.

Head Coach Adam Reeb was proud of his team's effort and believes better results will soon start to follow.

"Today was a wild match as we started outdoors and then had to finish indoors due to the weather," said Reeb.

"Our guys showed a lot of heart and emptied the tank out there today. I wish they could have gotten the win as I know how much they put in today and care about our team, but it wasn't meant to be.

If we can keep putting in this type of effort, I know we'll be rewarded with success in conference action. We've just got to keep fighting and believing.

Thank you to all our supporters who came out and watched today it was a fun environment to play in."

The Redhawks return to action tomorrow afternoon at 4:00 p.m. as they host Grand Canyon at the Amy Yee Tennis Center.
