LEWISTON, Idaho - (Feb. 18) After suffering a hard fought 4-3 loss to Idaho State on Friday, the Redhawks responded with a 6-1 victory over Lewis-Clark State College on Saturday afternoon. Trenton Nield, Matt Alderson, John Stormans, Michael Schoettler, and Jeremiah Kalmus all earned two set victories in their singles matches.

It was the type of consistent play assistant coach Matt Look and the rest of the coaching staff has been searching for this season. With a 9:00 a.m. match agaisnt the University of Idaho Sunday morning, Seattle U will need more of the same as they take on a talented 3-2 Vandals squad.

Look was proud of the way the team responded from Friday's setback but knows Idhao will present a new set of challenges.

"Solid win after a close one yesterday," said Look. "Lewis and Clark State are a well coached team and tricky to play. Happy to have secured the doubles point heading into the singles, as we had a lot of tight first sets.

John and Mike made some smart adjustments in their matches today, and Jeremiah has been rock solid all year. It's going to take a complete team effort tomorrow to beat a very good Idaho team, and we're looking forward to the challenge."

SU improved to 7-6 on the season while Lewis-Clark State College fell to 1-5.
