LEWISTON, Idaho - (Feb. 17) The Seattle U men's tennis team put their four game win streak on the line Friday afternoon against Idaho State and fell just short of making it five, losing by a final score 4-3. It was a back and forth match and one that could have gone either way with a few key points going the way of the Bengals.

Michael Schoettler, Matt Alderson, and Jeremiah Kalmus each won their singles match with scores of 6-1, 6-2, 7-6, 6-2, and 6-2, 6-2 respectively. While Seattle U and Idaho State split the singles bracket, the Bengals won two of the doubles matches, with the third being a did not finish.

Assistant coach Matt Look spoke after the close loss to ISU.

"This one could have gone either way, with close games that might have swung the match in our favor," said Look. "It was a good reminder to continue to play aggressively and seize control of big moments. We've been very resilient all year and we're ready to bring it tomorrow."

The Redhawks return to action tomorrow afternoon as they take on Lewis-Clark State College at 1:00 p.m. A win would put the Redhawks back above the .500 mark for the second time this season.
