SEATTLE (Feb. 6) – Seattle University women’s basketball will host two games this week, including a Saturday full of events at the Connolly Complex.
The Redhawks welcome Chicago State on Thursday, Feb. 9, and then UMKC comes to SU on Saturday, Feb. 11.
On Saturday, the Redhawks will host a variety of events in conjunction with the game. It is the program’s annual Play4Kay game, benefitting the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. Fans can buy a special pink T-shirt for $10, with all proceeds and donations going towards the cause.
There will also be an alumni game and reception on Saturday. SU alum will be acknowledged on court at halftime of the contest.
The program will host Women in Leadership presented by Alaska Airlines and sponsored by Swedish Health Services and recognize National Girls and Women in Sports Day on Saturday. Following the game, there will be a Women in Leadership presented by Alaska Airlines and sponsored by Swedish Health Services reception in the Connolly Complex. Director of Athletics Shaney Fink will speak at the event.
The UMKC-Seattle U game will also be broadcast live on the WAC Digital Network.
For Thursday's contest, there will be a red out at the Connolly Complex. Free pizza will be provided while supplies last.
Seattle U is 6-1 in the WAC. It will host five home games in its remaining seven-game schedule.
