COMPLETE RESULTS
SEATTLE - (Jan. 15) Just two days after playing their season opener on the road against a talented Washington team, the Seattle U men's tennis team (0-3) hosted Eastern Washington (1-0) Sunday at the Tennis Center at Sand Point.
The Redhawks started slow in doubles, but received stronger perforamnces in singles, most notably from sophomore Jeremiah Kalmus and junior Matt Alderson.
Head Coach Adam Reeb came away impressed with Eastern Washington's play, and is motivated to get back to work with his guys.
"Eastern played well today and deserved to win," said Reeb. "We had a bit of a slow start in doubles but the guys battled well in singles. Jeremiah played a great match tiebreaker which was awesome to see. We've just got to keep getting better every day."
SU will travel to Eugene, Ore. this Friday and Saturday for two neutral site matches against Montana State. Friday's match begins at 11:00 a.m. while Saturday's match is set for 9:00 a.m.
