DENVER (Nov. 8) – Blaise Wittenauer-Lee of the Seattle University women’s swimming team has been named the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Swimmer of the Week, for Nov. 1-7.
The senior swept her three events at the University of Idaho last weekend. She won the 200 IM with a time of 2:05.00, posting the third-fastest time in program history.
The native of Portland, Oregon, also won both the 100 and 200 breaststroke last weekend. In the 100, Wittenauer-Lee swam a 1:02.90, the fourth-best time in school history. While winning the 200, she recorded a 2:16.68, third-fastest at SU.
Wittenauer-Lee paces the WAC in all three events, as well as the 400 IM, in the 2016-17 season.
The weekly honor is Wittenauer-Lee’s third since the start of the 2015-16 campaign.
Seattle U returns to the Connolly Complex on Nov. 19 for its next meet.
