COMPLETE 2016-17 MEN'S TENNIS SCHEDULE
SEATTLE - Head Coach Adam Reeb announced the Men's Tennis 2016-17 schedule today, which includes a tough opening road match at UW as well as hosting their first ever WAC regular season cluster April 7-9.
After their opener at UW on January 13, the men host Eastern Washington that Sunday, January 15, to close out the weekend. Reeb shared his thoughts on how the schedule lays out and his goals for the season.
"We've got a challenging schedule set up for the guys that should hopefully prepare them well for conference play starting in March," said Reeb. "We look forward to opening up again at UW and overall have a lot of challenging matches away from home for the most part in January before a nice home stand the first half of February.
We've then got two demanding weekends in Idaho and Colorado in later February which will prepare us well to go on the road and acclimate to different conditions which will serve us well for the WAC Tournament. We're super excited for conference play to start in March in Phoenix and can't wait to host our first ever WAC regular season cluster here in Seattle April 7 through 9.
We hope to have a great fan support that weekend and it will be so much fun for the guys to get to play 3 of the regular season conference matches at home this spring. We've got a nice blend of veteran leadership along with a solid group of freshmen so we're hopeful to keep improving all year and be playing our best cone WAC Tournament time in Las Cruces in late April."
Aside from UW, other notable non-conference opponents include Air Force, Northern Arizona, and the University of Portland.
Upon completing their regular season home finale vs. Puget Sound on April 14 at 5:00 PM, the Redhawks will then have two weeks to prepare for the WAC Tournament, which takes place April 28-30 in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
