SEATTLE – (Nov. 17) As four seniors are depart the Seattle University women’s golf team at the conclusion of the 2017 season, Head Coach Marc Chandonnet is excited to announced the signing of five incoming Redhawks who will join the squad beginning next fall.

"To say that I'm excited about our incoming 2017 class would be an understatement,” said Chandonnet. “The women's program continues to break scoring records, continues to find a way to compete every year and with the players we've got joining our team next fall this trend will most certainly continue.”

The quintet includes Kimberlee Tottori from Las Vegas, Anne Transier from Prescott Valley, Ariz., Nicole Foster from Los Gatos, Calif., Vendela From hailing from Stockholm, Sweden, and Keisha Lugito out of Walnut, Calif.

“Next year’s signees include some of the highest ranked junior players to ever join our team and academically they are very impressive as well,” Chandonnet continued. “I’m 100% confident that each one of these individuals will represent Seattle University with great class and as their coach I wholeheartedly believe that their choice to join the Redhawks makes us the lucky ones."

Tottori has won more than 80 golf tournaments, including 2 AJGA qualifier events, Pepsi Little People and FCG World championship during her amateur career. She also tied for first at Toyota Cup Olivas Links, finished second at the AJGA Memorial, third at AJGA Oakridge, and has been ranked as high as 25th in the Junior Golf Scoreboard. A 4.0 student at Faith Lutheran High School in Las Vegas, Tottori was named to the American Junior Golf Association Honor Roll in 2016.

Transier prepped at Bradshaw Mountain High School in Prescott Valley, Ariz., where she has been a four-year starter on the boys golf team. The squad has made three State Championship appearances and finished as the state runner-up in 2016. Transier has also been a member of the Junior Golf Association of Arizona for four years, earning Player of the Year honors in 2015 and the Sportsmanship Award in 2016.

Foster hails from Los Gatos High School where she was an All-Santa Clara Valley Athletic League selection from 2014-16. The two-time team MVP and two-time team captain led the Wildcats to the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League Championship in 2016, the first league title for the program. A four-year honor roll student, Foster has also been a member of LGHS’s Girls in Computer Science Club.

From comes to Seattle U from Stockholm, Sweden, where she attended Campus Manilla High School and was a varsity golfer for the Lidingoe Golf Club. She carded a handful of sub-par and par rounds in National and International WAGR events during 2016. She was appointed playing captain and contributed with an individual 70-round and a foursome 68-round when her team advanced from DII to DI in the Swedish National Ladies Club Team Championship. Additional notable results for From at National individual events in 2016 include top-three positions in Skandia National as well as Junior Master Invitational tourneys. She participated in four International events, shooting solid par-rounds in the Annika Europe Invitational as well as the Norwegian Junior Trophy.

Lugito was a four-year varsity starter at Walnut High School where she led the team to three Hacienda League titles, the CIF Southern Section Championship in 2014 and 2015 and a California State finalist in 2015. She was named the team’s Most Improved Golfer in 2015. Lugito has also earned numerous honors off the golf course including the MUN Award of Excellence, the 2015 Excellence Award Representative of Italy and Outstanding Delegate MUN Academic All League Award Varsity Girls Golf (3.5+ GPA).
