SEATTLE (Nov. 18) - Seattle University Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach Adam Reeb spent last Sunday volunteering at the Tennis Center Sand Point's Hits for Health cancer fundraiser.
Hits for Health is the first rally-thon for cancer in Seattle. Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, UW Medicine, and Seattle Children's Hospital have all partnered with Tennis Center Sand Point to raise money for cancer research.
As a result of particpating in the rally-thon, Reeb was paired with a local junior player (pictured top center).
He shared his thoughts on the event and potentially having both the SU men's and women's tennis teams get more involved in the near future.
"Tennis Center Sand Point's Hits for Health was a great event for a great cause," said Reeb. "This was the first ever event like this in the Seattle area, and the staff at Sand Point and all the sponsors involved did a wonderful job and helped put on such a fun and rewarding event. I feel humbled to have the opportunity to participate in this event, and I had a blast doing it. I look forward to having both our tennis teams here at SU heavily involved with this event next year as it continues to grow and grow."
