SEATTLE - (Oct. 14) Just inside one month until the official season-openers, Thursday was a busy day for the Seattle University men's and women's basketball programs.
Men's Head Coach Cameron Dollar and women's Head Coach Suzy Barcomb began the day in Denver, each participating in the 2016-17 Western Athletic Conference media day. Both coaches spoke about their excitment for the upcoming season, which begins officially on Nov. 11.
Seattle U's women host Idaho at 5 p.m. to begin the first season under Barcomb. The Redhawk men follow at 8 p.m. against Pacific Lutheran in the first of six games to be played on campus in the Connolly Complex.
After media day wrapped up, both coaches, along with their respective staffs and teams, were back on campus for Midnight Madness. The event included introduction of both 2016-17 squads, performances by the Seattle U spirit squad and Redline, while RedZone members and Rudy the Redhawk led students in the SU fight song, Ice Cream and Cake dance and more.
