ERIE, Colo. – (Sept. 27) Seattle University men’s golf got a top-20 individual finish from freshman Zack Overstreet and the Redhawks placed tied for 12th overall in the field of 19 at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invite hosted by the University of Colorado at the Colorado National Golf Club.

Favorable conditions made for low scores across the board during the two-day, three round event. Overstreet shot a three-under 213 for the tournament, including two sub-par rounds of 70 and 71. His third round was a one-over 73.

Patrick Sato also finished under par with a three-round score of 215, tying for 24th overall. The senior shot the single best round of all competing SU players with a five-under 67 in the second round of play.

Fellow senior Ross Kukula was Seattle U’s third best finisher, shooting 72-71-73 for an even par 216 and a tie for 30th overall.

Men’s golf is back in action on Oct. 9-11, traveling to South Bend, Ind., for the Fighting Irish Golf Classic hosted by Notre Dame.
