Head baseball coach Donny Harrel –
1) What’s your favorite summertime activity in general? Fishing and spending time at our cabin.
2) What’s your favorite Seattle-specific summertime activity? Food!!! Going to the different food fares in our various towns and trying great new things.
3) What’s your favorite thing to grill (or have grilled for you) in the summer? Simple salt and pepper prawns (the big ones!!!).
4) How about a side dish? Grilled asparagus.
5) What was your favorite summer memory from childhood? Playing baseball and beating everybody!!!
6) If you could go on a camping trip with 3 people (living or deceased), who would you choose? My wife, daughter and son. We have a great time together.
7) What song will be on repeat this summer? Jimmy Buffet’s “Son of a Sailor”.
8) What’s your favorite part about SU in the summer? Showing recruits around campus and convincing them it is “this sunny and beautiful ALL THE TIME!”.
9) Is there a certain place you love to go in the summer? My wife’s family ranch in Montana.
10) What are you most excited for this fall when students are back on campus? Baseball Practice! The excitement of a new year and working with a new batch of Redhawks!
Finally, any funny or entertaining stories to share that have happened to you since the end of Spring Quarter? Went recruiting down in Portland and my forehead got really burnt (I have a lot of forehead) and it started peeling really back and I looked like a character out of a Marvel Movie!
