Coaches may not quite get a summer break, but they still find time for fun! See what our Redhawk coaches love about the summer.
Head women’s soccer coach Julie Woodward –
1) What’s your favorite summertime activity in general? Spending time with my husband and four kids anywhere by the water!
2) What’s your favorite Seattle-specific summertime activity? Walking my dog or running along Alki Beach.
3) What’s your favorite thing to grill (or have grilled for you) in the summer? Salmon or cheeseburgers!
4) How about a side dish? I make some delicious spicy noodles!
5) What was your favorite summer memory from childhood? Definitely a trip to Disneyland with my parents and three siblings. We camped along the coast on the way.
6) If you could go on a camping trip with 3 people (living or deceased), who would you choose? Hmm…tough question. Probably Rosa Parks, Mother Teresa, and Michael Jordan.
7) What song will be on repeat this summer? I never get to choose…my kids monopolize the music selections! I love Tim McGraw’s song “Humble and Kind” and Drake’s “One Dance” is very catchy!
8) What’s your favorite part about SU in the summer? Everything! Seattle and our campus is amazing in the summer!
9) Is there a certain place you love to go in the summer? My in-laws have a house on Mason Lake and it is beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing. I love spending time there and hanging out on the lake if I have free time.
10) What are you most excited for this fall when students are back on campus? Women’s soccer games, of course!
