The Louisville Slugger Freshmen All-America Team, selected by Collegiate Baseball newspaper, has been announced by the organization and Seattle U’s Zach Wolf (Dana Hills, Calif.) receives accolades as part of the team.

Wolf was one of just six pitchers, only three relievers, on the West Coast to earn the honor while just one of two pitchers from the Western Athletic Conference alongside NM State starter Kyle Bradish. North Dakota’s Miles Lewis, the WAC Freshman of the Year, rounded out the league’s trio.

Receiving First Team All-Conference honors in 2016, Wolf led the Redhawks with 12 saves on the season and the team’s lowest ERA among relievers (2.27).

After winning the program’s first conference regular season title and setting a new single season wins record for the third straight season, the Redhawks look to continue upward improvement and earn their first NCAA berth next season.
