The accolades continue to roll in for Zach Wolf (Dana Hills, Calif.) after a stellar freshman campaign as he earns a place on the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Freshman All-American First Team.

Wolf is one of just 32 freshmen across the First and Second teams and one of 16 First Teamers. He’s one of six pitchers named to the First Team, one of just three relief pitchers. He is one of 19 All-Conference honorees to appear on the team.

He set a new WAC record for saves in league play (10), recording a team-high 12 saves on the season with a 2.27 ERA and 28 strikeouts in 27 appearances. Wolf helped lead the Redhawks to their first-ever WAC regular season title in 2016.

Wolf adds the accolade to an already accumulating list including First Team All-Conference and the Collegiate Baseball newspaper Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American team.
