Men’s basketball debuts on the prestigious list in this year’s group of teams earning top 10 percent status, while women’s golf also makes their first appearance. The Seattle U men’s basketball team was one of just two in the state – alongside fellow Jesuit school Gonzaga – to receive recognition.
Seattle U leads the way in the Western Athletic Conference with four in the top 10 percent while New Mexico State earned two and Grand Canyon and Utah Valley earned one apiece. SU also has the second highest number of teams in the state – ahead of Washington (3), Eastern Washington (3), and Washington State (1).
