“We played a solid match today,” said head coach Adam Reeb. “Chicago State has a talented team – it’s not easy playing a man down and they battled us on every court. I’m proud of the guys for taking care of business today and getting the win. Now we’ve got a few weeks at home to get fully healthy and keep getting better in preparation for the WAC Tournament at the end of the month.”
The Redhawks earned the doubles point and followed with five consecutive singles wins to clinch the match. Chicago State’s Christian Gonzalez earned a win at No. 5 singles after the match had already been decided.
Seattle U returns home for their regular season finale vs. Linfield (OR), set for 3pm at the SU Tennis Courts on Saturday, Apr. 23 before heading to the WAC Tournament in Texas the last weekend of the month (Friday, Apr. 29-Sunday, May 1).
