“Today was a really good win for our guys,” said head coach Adam Reeb. “Montana State is a very talented and dangerous team and we played our most complete game against them this afternoon. It was a great effort across the board. The guys are playing their best tennis of the year right now, which is what we want. We’re looking forward to getting outside now and a few days of practice before heading to New Mexico for the start of WAC play.”
Tied one win apiece through the first two doubles matches to finish, John Stormans (Olympia, Wash.) and Connor Leahy (Portland, Ore.) would win their 10th straight doubles match to clinch the first point as the Redhawks took a 1-0 lead into singles play.
Seattle U extended their lead to 5-0 and clinched the win with wins in the first four singles matches to finish. After dropping the No. 2 match, Berkabile ended with a win to give the Redhawks a 6-1 win.
The Redhawks have a week off from competition before heading to Las Cruces, N.M. for the start of WAC play, facing NM State on Mar. 24, UMKC on Mar. 25, and UTRGV on Mar. 26.
