“Andie is a work horse and has worked well with Coach [Mariah] Dawson on developing all her pitches and location,” said head coach Geoff Hirai.
The freshman earned the decision in both Redhawk wins over the weekend, going 2-1 with a 1.33 ERA and nine strikeouts in 21 innings pitched. Larkins struck out six, second highest tally of her career, in a win vs. host Sat. Mary’s on Feb. 28 and held opponents to just a .241 batting average in three appearances. She has earned the decision in all five Seattle U wins thus far in 2016.
Seattle U is scheduled to open their home schedule this weekend (Mar. 4-6) hosting seven games, including five games in which the Redhawks are slated to appear. The Redhawks host Montana (3:45 pm) and Bradley (6 pm) on Friday, Pacific (1:30 pm) and Boise State (3:45 pm) on Saturday, and Boise State (11:15 am) on Sunday. SU also hosts two neutral site matches, Bradley vs. Montana at 6 p.m. on Saturday and Kent State vs. Bradley at 9 a.m. on Sunday.
