SU Makes Back-to-Back Cali Trips
Seattle U returns to the Bay Area for the second straight weekend, this time for the St. Mary’s Tournament in Moraga, Calif. While there, the Redhawks will face host St. Mary’s in three games and Sacramento State in two. Live stats links for all contests are listed on the schedule page at GoSeattleU.com.

Scouting St. Mary’s (3-7)
St. Mary’s won two games over SU’s fellow WAC foe UMKC in Honolulu opening weekend before winning a nine-inning thriller vs. Stanford most recently at the Cardinal’s Nike Invitational on Feb. 21. The Gaels host a non-conference tournament for the first time since the 2011-12 season when they hosted the PCSC CrossOver Tournament (Feb. 25-26), which Seattle U participated in, defeating St. Mary’s, 8-2. Hailey Sparacino leads the Gaels at the plate (.344, 11-32) with four runs, a double, and three RBI while, in the circle, Katie Moss has a team-low 4.20 ERA among starters.

Scouting Sacramento State (2-7)
The Hornets picked up back-to-back wins vs. Montana and Santa Clara on opening weekend before going 0-5 at last weekend’s Fresno State Kickoff vs. UC Riverside (twice), Fresno State (twice), and Kansas. Sydney Rasmussen is batting a team-high .357 (5-14) while, in the circle, all four members of the pitching staff have a 5.00+ ERA.

SU/UW Tourney
Seattle U and the University of Washington will co-host a spring tournament for the first time in the first weekend in March (4-6) with seven games (five SU, two neutral site) to be played at Logan Field at SU Park.

WAC Tournament Returns to Seattle
Seattle University will play host to the 2016 Western Athletic Conference tournament in May (12-14) for the second time in three seasons. The Redhawks last hosted the tournament in 2014, a tournament which featured an eight-hour rain delay on day one.
