Idaho State used a consistent offensive attack to earn a 8-0 win, plating two runs in the bottom of the third and three more apiece in the fourth and sixth. The Redhawks left two on base in the top of the sixth.
Cal State Fullerton took an early lead, scoring five in their first chance at bat before adding three more in the second frame.
Alyssa Reuble (Lynnwood, Wash.) pitched three innings, giving up the first two runs, while walking and striking out one apiece vs. the Bengals, serving as the pitcher of record while Idaho State’s Ashlyn Ames picked up the win.
In the second contest of the day, Andie Larkins (Tucson, Ariz.) pitched 3 2/3 innings while walking three and striking out one. Reuble entered for the final 1 1/3 innings of relief.
On the day, among those that played in both contests, Kaylee Ree (Gresham, Ore.) led the Redhawks at the plate, going 2-for-5 (.400).
