HOME SWEET HOME: Seattle University will spend the next two weeks at home, starting this Saturday with a game against CSU Bakersfield at KeyArena starting at 7:30 p.m. While the Redhawks earned a split of its road games last week, the Roadrunners swept the weekend road trip to move to the top of the conference standings, making this a key game for both teams to establish early position within the league.
LAST WEEK: Seattle University split its first two conference games of the season, first losing at Missouri-Kansas City, 84-69. Manroop Clair led the Redhawks with 20 points, while Brendan Westendorf finished with 17 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots. Less than 48 hours later, the Redhawks rebounded with a 66-50 wire-to-wire victory over Chicago State. In a balanced scoring effort, Jack Crook and Jadon Cohee led the way with 12 points apiece, with Westendorf contributing 11 points, five rebounds, and four assists. Clair scored nine points on three three-pointers. William Powell added seven points, all on free throws, a team-high eight rebounds, and four assists.

DOUBLE CENTURY: Cameron Dollar will preside over his 200th game as head coach of the Seattle University men’s basketball team this Saturday against CSU Bakersfield. Dollar becomes the fourth person in Seattle U post-World War II basketball history to reach the 200-game mark as head coach, joining Al Hairston (256 games from 1991 to 2000), Al Brightman (248 games from 1948 to 1956), and Joe Callero (212 games from 2001 to 2009).
