On January 30th, Seattle University will honor a host of women leaders in the Seattle community for their contributions to the worlds of sport, business, and community service. A postgame event (approx. 5:50-7 pm) with the honorees will be emceed by Jen Mueller of Root Sports and “Talk Sporty to Me” and will take place following the SU women's basketball game against Grand Canyon at the Connolly Complex (4 pm). Lisa Brummel

Lisa Brummel is an established businesswoman in the Seattle area. At Microsoft, she was senior vice president for Human Resources and a member of Microsoft's senior management team. In 2008, she co-founded Force 10 Hoops LLC to purchase the Seattle Storm and kept professional basketball alive in Seattle. Currently, she is one of three owners of the team and a board member of Laird Norton Wealth Management.

Marvena Kemp

Marvena Thomas Kemp is the founder and owner of the Marvin Thomas Memorial Fund. Named after her father, the fund aims to help youth in the local community through various academic and athletic programs. Events hosted by the Marvin Thomas Memorial Fund include Stop the Violence Basketball Tournament, the Shawn “Reign Man” Kemp Classic, and the upcoming Unity in the Community 3-on-3 Hoop Fest.

Anita Crawford-Willis

Anita Crawford-Willis, assistant chief judge for the Office of Administrative Hearings in Seattle, has been an active member of the legal community in King County for more than 25 years. A Seattle University graduate, she was named Woman of the Year by the SU law school in 2014. She earned her undergraduate degree from SU, as well as her J.D. As a law student, she was involved with Black Law Student Association and the Women's Law Caucus. She also received the Loren Miller Bar Scholarship. She served on the Law Alumni Board and the Seattle University Board of Regents. 

Phyllis Campbell

Phyllis Campbell is the Chairman, Pacific Northwest for JPMorgan Chase & Co. She is the firm’s senior executive in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho across businesses, representing JPMorgan Chase & Co. at the most senior level to clients. Phyllis has a proven track record of board service, both in the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. She is the lead independent director for Alaska Air Group, a NYSE listed company. She serves on the Nordstrom board of directors and on the North American Diversity Advisory Board (DAB) of Toyota.

Marilyn Sheldon

Marilyn Sheldon has been the Charitable Contributions Director for the Tulalip Tribe since 2007. The Tulalip Tribes Charitable Fund provides the opportunity for a sustainable and healthy community for all. In 1993, the Tulalips donated $273,000 to charitable causes. With the help of Sheldon, that rose to $6.9 million in 2013, the 20th year in which the Tulalip Charitable Fund has operated.
