The Seattle University baseball program’s 2016 Meet the Redhawks Dinner and Auction, presented by GEICO, will take place on Homecoming weekend, Friday, Feb. 5, at the Seattle Marriott Waterfront, located at 2100 Alaskan Way.
This year’s event will honor Jamie Moyer, the most recent inductee into the Seattle Mariners Hall of Fame who has continually served the Seattle community through the Jamie Moyer Foundation. The 1968 Seattle U baseball team will also be recognized as they prepare to be inducted into the Seattle U Athletics Hall of Fame the next day.
Those who purchase a $150 VIP ticket, or are part of a VIP table of 10 priced at $1,500, will be able to attend a VIP reception featuring Moyer starting at 5:30 p.m. At 6 p.m., the silent auction and cocktail hour will begin, followed by the dinner program and live auction starting at 7 p.m.
Individual tickets for the event are available for $75 apiece, with a table of 10 costing $650. Attendees are asked to dress in business attire, and there will be valet parking available. Also, for those interested in staying at the Marriott Waterfront after the event, they can contact the hotel at (206) 443-5000.
Registration is available online at www.goseattleu.com/special-events, and more information about the event is available by calling (206) 398-4428.
The Seattle University baseball team won a school-record 31 games in 2015, including a 19-8 record within the Western Athletic Conference. The Redhawks won their first two games in the WAC Tournament to advance to the championship round, also earning their first postseason victories in program history.
