Seattle University men’s tennis announces the signing of Arshak Ghazaryan who has signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) to attend school and play tennis at Seattle University.

“We’re really excited to have Arshak joining our program next fall,” said head coach Adam Reeb. “He’s the highest ranked men’s recruit in school history and that shows all our efforts hitting the recruiting trail have already started to pay off. We look for Arshak to make an immediate impact in our program. He has achieved a high level of success in elite junior, adult, and professional tournaments around the world, and he will bring those experiences to our team. He plays a physical style of tennis and that, couple with his work ethic and professionalism, is exactly what we are looking for in our student-athletes.”

Ghazaryan is from Yerevan, Armenia and was the No. 1 men’s tennis player in Armenia in U12, U14, U16, and U18 age groups. He represented Armenia in U12-U18 tournaments in France, Sweden, Finland, Spain, Turkey, Russia, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Norway, Iceland, Georgia, among other countries, also competing in the U14 and U16 European Championships. He was invited to play for the Armenian Davis Cup team in 2014 and 2015.

This year’s Redhawk men’s tennis team recently closed the fall season at ITA Regionals hosted by Washington opens the spring 2016 season with a pair of Pac-12 doubleheaders at Washington (Jan. 9) and Oregon (Jan. 16).
