Haddadi made his first appearance since injury in the WAC title game on Sunday, Nov. 15 and would score the game-tying goal on a penalty kick in the 87th minute. As the game vs. Utah Valley was played through two overtime periods, Haddadi made the final PK of the shootout to secure the Redhawks’ conference championship.
Also excelling in the classroom, Haddadi currently has a 3.598 cumulative GPA as a management major.
As one of the top-16 seeded teams, the Redhawks received a first round bye in the 2015 NCAA tournament and will host the winner of UCLA/Cal Poly on Sunday, Nov. 22 at 6 p.m. at Championship Field. This is the first time Seattle U has hosted an NCAA DI tournament game in any sport.
Seattle U makes their second all-time appearance in the Division I tournament after defeating Creighton, 2-1, in the first round in 2013. The Redhawks have previously won national championships at the Division II (2004) and NAIA levels (1997).
