No.15 Seattle University men’s soccer earned the No. 11 seed in the 2015 NCAA Men’s Soccer Tournament and, as one of 16 seeded teams, receives a first round bye. The Redhawks will host the winner of UCLA/Cal Poly on Sunday, Nov. 22 at 6 p.m. PT.

This is the program’s second berth in the NCAA Division I tournament after making their first appearance in 2013 with a 2-1 first round victory at Creighton. This is also the program’s first ever top-16 seed in the Division I tournament as well as first time for Seattle U to host a Division I tournament game in school history.

The Redhawks received the Western Athletic Conference’s automatic bid to the tournament after winning the WAC title on Sunday in a shootout with Utah Valley. The Wolverines also earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament, marking the fourth time in WAC history multiple teams have received bids to the tournament.

Seattle U has had a record-breaking season, ranked in the top 25 since Sept. 29 and with an RPI as high as No. 9 last week. The Redhawks still are currently tied with Creighton for most number of wins in the country (17).

Public tickets will go on sale on Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 2 p.m. PT by clicking HERE. Fans can also call the Redhawk Ticket Office at (206) 398-GOSU(4678) for questions regarding ticketing for Sunday’s match. Adult general admission tickets will be $10 and faculty, staff, additional students, and kids will be $5. The first 400 Seattle U students to visit the CAC starting Monday afternoon will receive a complimentary ticket donated by the athletics department (one per student).

The winner of Sunday’s game will advance to face the winner of Syracuse and Dartmouth/Hartwick in the third round on Nov. 28 or 29 with the quarterfinals taking place Dec. 4 or 5. The Men’s College Cup (Final Four) will take place on Dec. 11 and 13 at Sporting KC’s Sporting Park in Kansas City, Mo.
