On Sunday, Nov. 2, the Redhawks earned a 4-2 win vs. Incarnate Word to capture their second regular season league title in the past three years after winning in 2013, their first season in the league. With the win, SU earns the No. 1 seed in the WAC tournament next week as well as a first round bye in the tournament.
Coming into this week, Haworth ranks in the top 30 in NCAA Division I goalie minutes played and GAA, also leading the league in shutouts and ranking third in league standings in GAA for WAC games. He was named to the TopDrawer Soccer Midseason WAC Top 20 (No. 11) and earlier this season was named WAC Defensive Player of the Week (Oct. 12-18), earning the honor four times last season. He has posted seven shutouts in 2015, playing all but 18 minutes in goal for Seattle U.
Off the field, Haworth also excels in the classroom with a 3.37 cumulative GPA as a strategic communications major.
Seattle U will close the regular season at Utah Valley on Saturday, Nov. 7 at 6 p.m. PT before heading to Kansas City, Mo. for the WAC Tournament from Nov. 12-15. SU will play their first tournament game on Friday, Nov. 13 at 7:30 p.m. CT/5:30 p.m. PT.
