Smallidge made five saves in the 1-0 victory over Utah Valley on Saturday, Oct. 31, marking her 11th complete game shutout and the team’s 12th this season. Her 11 individual shutouts and eighth WAC win of the season set new single season conference records. She is an anchor for a Seattle U team that outscored opponents 26-2 in the month of October and earned shutouts in eight of their last nine regular season matches.
This week, the Redhawks travel to Bakersfield, Calif. for the 2015 WAC tournament, their third straight as the No. 1 seed. With the No. 1 seed, they earn a first round bye in the tournament and will face the winner of No. 4 NM State/No. 5 CSU Bakersfield on Friday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. PT. The winner of the tournament will receive the league’s automatic bid in the NCAA tournament, in which Seattle U looks for a third straight appearance in 2015.
